Mike Ringrose

Mike is excited to be entering into his fourth year as an associate director with the Hockey Program. Mike comes to the Vimy Ridge campus after spending four years at the University of Alberta studying Physical Education with a specialization in Coaching Studies.

Prior to his time at the U of A, Mike had a successful playing career in the AJHL with the Drayton Valley Thunder and the Sherwood Park Crusader. After Mike finished playing he quickly turned his focus to coaching, splitting the last five years between the Alberta Junior Hockey League and the Alberta Midget Hockey League. This year will be Mike’s second working as an assistant coach with the Spruce Grove Saints of the AJHL. In addition, Mike has also done a significant amount of work with the Hockey Alberta Program of Excellence, including Coaching in two Alberta Cups and working as an instructor-evaluator at various U-16 and U-17 provincial camps. Mike is certified at the High Performance I level and has completed his level three coaching theory.
