Jason Knight
Jason has been with The Hockey Program as an instructor for the past nine years. He graduated from Concordia University College of Alberta in 2001. Jason obtained both of his degrees: Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education After Degree from Concordia. Currently he is in his ninth year as a classroom teacher at Donnan.
He has played hockey at the Major Junior, Junior A, College and Senior AAA level. While playing at those levels he had tryouts in the Central Hockey League with the Tulsa Oilers and the Thunder Bay Thunder Cats of the United Hockey League. During those years he has worked for a wide variety of goalie schools: International Goalie School – based out of Yorkton Saskatchewan; World Wide Goalie School of which he was the head instructor – based out of Red Deer Alberta; Goaltender Development Institute – based out of Calgary Alberta; and the U. of A. Bears Goalie School. Recently Jason has been involved with Hockey Alberta running goalie skill development camps in the northern portion of the province. In addition, this past spring he was involved with both the Alberta Cup and the Under 17 selection camp. Jason has also spent two seasons as a goaltender coach with the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the A.J.H.L.
Jason resides in Morinville with his wife Kerry and their two children Kade and Kennedi. Even though he doesn’t enjoy the long commute everyday; Jason truly enjoys working with young goaltenders of The Hockey Program and looks forward to the new school year.
