Welcome!

As we now enter a short month in December, please take the time at home to discuss the importance of the THP CORE VALUES:

C - Citizen: Striving to be a good citizen on a daily basis, making good choices.

O - Opportunity: Taking advantage of the opportunity presented at Donnan on a daily basis.

R - Respect: Respecting your peers and teachers, building confidence in each other.

E - Enthusiasm: Approach each day with enthusiasm and good body language.

We all know the importance of creating young citizens who embody these traits. As a hockey coach, who has coached at all levels, I can attest to the value that successful teams place on evaluating, assessing and developing character. I hope that together we all can work to continue to instill and reward these traits in the youth of our program.

This month will see the student athletes participating in a phase called TEAMwork. It will feature 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3 and full team game situations. This phase will culminate in a full ice game or games for the grades 3, 4 and 5 students and the annual Xmas grade 6 game. This game pits the grade 6 THP students against some THP staff and some local media celebrities. Feel free to come out and help the Grade 6 students raise some awareness and proceeds for the local charity of their choice. Stay tuned for more information on the Xmas game and on upcoming group changes.
